Partnership of Parishes

Following on from our recent Building Hope local meetings and conversations with the Archbishop we will share our resources and mission in partnership with Balally, Meadowbrook and Ballinteer Parishes. As Archbishop Farrell wrote in his Pastoral Letter for Advent; ‘ Within each partnership of parishes all active parishioners, priests, deacons, parish pastoral workers and voluntary parish leaders, including catechists into the future, are encouraged to renew the missionary aspect of parish life and contribute energetically towards the partnership of local parishes. In this way we can reach out beyond what anyone parish might be able to facilitate or imagine.’ Our Pastoral Council will keep you up to date with our journey into growing our new partnership. Let us all continue to pray that the Holy Spirit will guide this exciting journey.

About Holy Cross

Dundrum Parish is an exciting place to be at present. We know our parish is more than a physical structure, it is a faith community. To run parallel with the building of our new Parish centre, Parish Office and renovation of our church building, we want to re-energise our Parish community also. In April 2015, we asked you to participate in The Big Dundrum Survey. We gained a huge amount of information and insight from the survey which will help us all as we move forward in our mission. We thank the 682 people who completed our survey for your frank and honest comments. Read the summary of what you said and our next steps in building our parish community.  Below you will find more about our two building projects. Have a look at the Video of our Building plans.

Parish Vision

a community

where people feel they belong and know God’s own welcome;

where people come into contact with Christ

and with the hope and joy of the gospel;

where people find their spirits nourished by prayer and liturgy;

where people find the extraordinary love of God

in the ordinary events of their lives;

where people are drawn into using their gifts

for the good of one another.
